Saw God at the grocery store

No really I did. And at the bank. And at McDonalds.

God is reading this post right now.

In fact God is writing it.

Because here’s the truth – You were created by the Higher Power. So just like you have the DNA of your parents, you ALSO have DIVINE DNA running through your veins.

Did you know that there are men in India who can pull jewels out of thin air? There are people right here in America who can heal illness with touch?

hands and butterfly

But HERE’s THE TRUTH. Not one of these people is special. Not one of them has special powers. They perform miracles, sure. But they weren’t “chosen” any more than you and I are. They just have total faith in their divine power.

Do you remember my story?

I had a failed business and a disconnected marriage. I was depressed. Empty. Anxious. And hugely disappointed that my life looked nothing like I wanted it to look. My soul felt stomped on.

Now? I am HAPPY. I am healthy. I am running a profitable business that I love. I wake up every day SO grateful for my lifestyle and my loves. The only thing I did to start creating this miracle life for myself was to decide that miracles were my norm.

There was no smoke. No visit from angels.

It went something like this:

“F—k this. I am 35 years old and I am too young to be this miserable. From this moment on, I am happy. I don’t give a shit what anyone else is doing or how anyone else is living or how anyone else treats me. I am happy. I declare at this moment that I am a happy, peaceful, blissed out, smiling like a freaking toothpaste ad happy woman. And I don’t care who you are. That’s who I am.“

Miracles do not discriminate. They don’t happen to only special people. In fact they don’t “happen” at all by chance. They are CREATED. By US.

You don’t need to go GET miracle power. You need to remember that you already have it! Divine DNA is within you. Use it! (Click to tweet this)

DO THIS:

Make three lists-

List one- this how I want to feel.

List two- this is what I want to do.

List three- this is what I want to have.

And then, make sure that every decision, every choice you make, every word that comes out of your mouth, moves you CLOSER to checking off that list. Period.

That’s the fast track to miracles.

Preach, Pray, Party

I was laying in bed last night, after celebrating my oldest son’s 11th birthday, and I swear I had a whole year’s worth of emotions in a span of 20 minutes: overwhelming love for my kids, a bit of sadness that the years are passing so quickly, pride in the beautiful people they are becoming, gratitude for the miracles I’ve been guided to create for us the last few yeas.

I realized that the more intentional I become, the better life gets.

I usually keep my soul manifestos between me and God but I wanted to share it with you today. It’s a blend of dreams and goals and commitments to myself. Half to-do list. Half prayer list. All true. All possible.

Click to tweet thisThis year I am dripping in dreams and fueled by change. This year, I am telling fear to f**k off and making every decision with faith, love and self-hearted warrior courage. (Click to Tweet This) I will be led only by my own heart, my own voice and the whispers of the Holy Spirit. I will laugh even more and hug even harder. This year is about depth, expansion and MIRACLES.”

What’s this year about for YOU? Whatever it is, bask in it, savor it, preach it, have a party for it.

Don’t just hope, DECIDE. Don’t just wait, CREATE. Don’t just settle, MANIFEST.

Click to tweet thisWhatever you want that you don’t yet have is waiting for you to fight for it. (Click to tweet this.)

Its up to YOU to declare the shift. I hope you feel how powerful that is! Getting responsible isn’t heavy. It’s liberating! You got this 😉

Love, Sex and a Polka Dot Snuggie

If you regularly read my posts, then you know that 2015 is the year of Miracles.

You know that I have declared “miracle” as my word of the year and you may have heard that we are going to be opening the doors to the much anticipated 6 Month Miracle Project with partners from all over the world! But here’s a little truth about me.

I have no patience.

I hate waiting, especially when what I am waiting for is awesome and magical and fuels my soul. So because the doors aren’t opening for another month or so, I wanted to share:

The top 10 things I’ve learned about creating miracles

  1. You don’t need anyone else to be on board. It may LOOK like they need to be a part of it, but don’t be fooled. All you need is yourself.

  2. Miracles don’t just happen, they are intentionally created.

Love3. Love makes more miracles then resentment. There is always SOMETHING you can find to love, be it the other person’s inner child or your own capacity for forgiveness.

  1. My polka dot snuggie, fettuccine, sex, movie nights and extra long showers are every bit a part of my happiness tapestry as acceptance, validation and deep love. It all feels good. It all matters. And you deserve it.

  2. Most of the things that scared the hell out of me ended up being the things that changed my life and opened me up to my deeper purpose. What scares you the most is likely linked to what’s actually your destiny.

  3. All of the reasons I said I couldn’t change were the very reasons I had to. All of the reasons you say you can’t are the very reasons you MUST.

  4. The more authentic I became, the faster fear and doubt vanished. “She would have thought a woman would have died of shame. Instead of which, the shame died.” – D.H.Lawrence, Lady Chatterley’s Lover. It turns out the real me is beautiful and deep and inspiring. So is the real you.

  5. Miracles ask for your commitment to self knowledge and require your attention to values. They honor courage and they give to action. Miracles will always meet you in the middle. But you’ve got to do your part.

Click to tweet this9. What you lack is what you haven’t fought for. Most of the time, what we feel we are “owed” is actually what we are being called to give to ourselves. (Click to tweet this!)

  1. Miracles are addicting. Once you create one, you can’t help but create more. Before you know it, Miracle Work is your favorite hobby, life is magical and love is your default setting.

Those are just a few of the many many lessons I learned on my journey. “Journey” doesn’t feel big enough. “Pilgrimage to the center of my soul?” That’s better. =)

“It’s good to do uncomfortable things. It’s weight training for life.”- Anne Lamott

Thinking about making 2015 YOUR miracle year? Good for you!!!  =) Here if you need me.

Step one to creating miracles

Before I get started I just want you to know that I adore you. For real. I often wonder if you can feel it! I wonder if the gratitude I feel and the warmth actually translates through cyberspace? I hope it does. I had the chance to meet with a bunch of soulful, courageous women last week in my town and I wish I could meet you too!

Because you see, depth of connection is one of the values that is housed in my soul manifesto.

Creating your soul manifesto is one of the first steps you need to take to set yourself on the miracle track. This manifesto is the list of deep, meaningful values that you are committed to building your life around. You soul manifesto is how you define the kind of year you’ll have, the kind of relationships you’ll enjoy and the kind of life you’ll create.

Your Soul Manifesto is your personal, autobiographical scripture. Before you can start creating miracles, you’ve got to define for yourself what a miraculous life looks and feels like!

Click to tweet thisIf you know your soul manifesto (your spirit-deep, non-negotiable values) life gets easier. (Click to tweet this!) When a decision needs to be made, it either supports your soul manifesto or it doesn’t. The guess work is gone.

Don’t freak. You don’t need to be a writer. Choose single words that define what’s important. Choose words that you strive to embody. Words that make up the tapestry of your dream life. Words you can look at and instantly remember who you are and what you want.

And then pick one to be your word of the year! Make it pretty, make it your screensaver, print it out and hang it on the wall. It’s not enough to know your guiding values. You’ve got to write them, live them, embrace them, wrap your heart around them, know them inside and out and commit to creating a life that embodies the spirit of each of them.

Here is my soul manifesto. The words that represent the values and goals for life and my year ahead.

And in case you hadn’t noticed, my word of the year is “miracles.” Would love to hear yours! Leave a comment and let me know. =)

Love, Magic and Stromboli

I LOVE this time of year. I love the warmth, the lights and I love that it’s the one time of year that my mom makes her famous Stromboli! (I’m sharing the recipe below!) My kids are SO excited. (Though my daughter might be slightly disappointed that the number one thing on her list, a new sister, is SO not happening!) It fills me with so much love to watch the magic on their little faces throughout this month!

Happy Holidays

I’ll keep this short so that you can get back to decking the halls and dashing through the snow! THANK YOU! I am so grateful for your presence in this community, for sharing your energy and for allowing me to do what I do. I have realized throughout this year that one of the best gifts that I have ever been given was the courage to be self aware. Self awareness is step one to making miracles. And I have made quite a few in the last few years!

Remember this:

Wisdom is not something that is reserved
for the elderly or for the folks
who live in the ashrams and meditate all day.

It’s for you too.

Click to tweet this!Wisdom is nothing more than a choice; an unwavering commitment to learning from what happens to you. (click to tweet)

So make 2015 the year of your truth. The year you get self aware and take control of your circumstances. Make 2015 the year of your miracle.

We have some beautiful things in the works to help you do that but remember, it’s your call. You can choose right now to make next year the year that changes everything.

And I look forward to walking that journey with you. I am no different. A mom of three from a small suburb of Pittsburgh, and I’ve done it. I am committed to helping you do it too in 2015.

Wishing you a magical and blessed holiday.

Here’s my gift to you:

Famous Stromboli Recipe

(not a vegetarian recipe though I HAVE made this by layering veggies and cheese instead of meat and cheese!)

Unroll one package of Pillsbury crescent rolls and lay on bottom of 9×13 glass dish.

Layer the following in this order:

  • 1/4 lb of chipped ham
  • 1/4 lb of salami
  • 1/4 lb of Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 lb of sandwich pepperoni
  • 1 small jar of roasted red peppers
  • 1/4 lb of provolone cheese

Beat 3 eggs and pour over meat and cheese.

Unroll a second package of crescent rolls and over the top of layers.

Beat one egg and brush over top.

Cover in foil and Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

Uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Delicious!!! Enjoy. 😉 XO

Can we talk about our underwear?

Tell the truth. If I saw your under garments right now would you be embarrassed? I promise I have a point.

The other day, I was cleaning out my closet and when I got to my…um… delicates I was faced with the startling realization that there was a pair of fancy underwear in there that I had bought specifically for my senior prom…in 1994!

I went to the store immediately and bought a whole bunch of pretty unmentionables, but it got me thinking – business is great! Why then, had I not purchased anything nice for myself in 20 years! (To be clear I HAD purchased underwear in the last 20 years, just not super sexy rock star ones!) I started to look around at some of the other areas of my life that were stuck in “scarcity”, “what if” and “not enough”. Makeup from the dollar bin. Cheap shampoo.

My soul and my work had emerged beautifully into abundance, but there were clearly still parts of my mind that were holding fast to a very narrow definition of “possible.” There must have still been some corner of my soul that didn’t feel worthy of all the awesomeness! Buh-bye old belief system!

I just finished reading Denise Duffield Thomas’s Get Rich Lucky Bitch (SUCH a fun and quick read!) and she suggests upgrading in baby steps. A better bra here, a fancy coffee there. And you know what? She’s spot on.

So here’s what I want you to do for yourself in the new year. Flip the switch to ON. When you start to upgrade step by step, you send a message to the universe that  you are READY to receive! I get it. Looking in the mirror and affirming “I’m a millionaire” just makes your inner witch say “yeah RIGHT!” It’s what my friend Noah St. John calls the “belief gap.” And it can crush your manifesting mojo! But taking tiny steps, making incremental upgrades FEELS good. And when you feel good, you attract. It’s that easy. Buy the better coffee. Get the brand name purse. Not ten of them. Just one. And it doesn’t even have to be about buying anything. Light candles for your bath. Put on music while you cook. Do things that make you feel good.

Click to tweet this!Feeling good isn’t a luxury, it’s a privilege of being alive. Make more moments in life a “hell yes!” (Click to Tweet this!)

I would love to hear what baby steps you are going to take to up-level your life. Leave a comment and let me know!

Please don’t say this anymore

Last week, I had a crazy experience! I was introduced to a new spiritual adviser. I scheduled a session with her, and went on to have the most amazing 60 minute conversation I have ever had in my life.

I cannot even begin to share the incredible insights she revealed to me. It was as though she had x-ray vision and saw right through to my soul. I laughed, I cried, I wrote down important dates for my business. I forgave and released and breathed in the holy energy of the divine. It was surreal.

A really important pattern emerged throughout our conversation. I rarely trusted myself and yet I was almost always right.

How often do you hear yourself say “I don’t know what to do.” If I could, I would drive to your house right now, take you by the shoulders, look deep into your eyes and say to you, “My dear friend, you absolutely DO know. You are just afraid; afraid of being right;  afraid of the consequences of following your heart; afraid of the change you might have to navigate.”

Because that is the truth. We always know. It’s a gut level knowing. Pay close attention to what makes you feel the anguish and what makes you feel the peace.

Click to tweet this!Stop saying “I dont know what to do.” You DO know. Instead say “I don’t know what will happen.” That’s your truth. Own your wisdom.

Hold onto your power. Saying “I don’t know” is the same as saying “Here, take my power.” It’s ok to not be ready to make a decision. But at least OWN your wisdom. Maybe you know EXACTLY what you want, but you also intuitively know that the time isn’t right to move towards it. That happens. But you still “know.”

How many times have you heard about an unfortunate divorce and thought to yourself “I knew he was no good.”

Or how many times have you done something that went terribly wrong and heard yourself say “I knew I should never have gone there,” or “I knew I shouldn’t have called her.”

Your body wisdom will never lie to you. The words that are whispered to you from your source are words of TRUTH. Hear them. Heed them. Make a commitment right now that in 2015 you will start trusting your own instincts. Remember, you aren’t in this alone. Your instincts are the whispers of the divine. So it’s ok if you aren’t quite ready to trust yourself. Trust the divine instead.   Learning to listen to your own instincts will save you years of heartache and regret.

This has been a public service announcement from someone who took a stupid number of years to learn a very simple lesson. 😉

And if you are in the market for a little amazement, I’d be happy to share the name of my new spiritual adviser. Just contact me and ask.

Black Friday BS

16b73b647ddc4e1e8ba4095456c93436

I love Thanksgiving – the parade, the pie, the return of our very mischievous “Elf on a Shelf,” but one thing I do not get into is BlackFriday madness, or, as my father likes to call it, Black Friday B.S.!

Not only do I not enjoy being up at 3am for any reason, but there’s a frantic energy of that “busiest shopping day of the year” that I just can’t relate to.

I get it. It’s a huge day for anyone who has anything to sell. People are looking for a deal and are prepared to buy! But one of the things on my gratitude list this year is YOU. I am humbled and thankful for your presence in this little virtual family we have, so rather than selling something to you, I’d like to create something for you.

Hit reply, (really! please do!) and tell me what you need. What product or book do you wish existed? What do you need that you haven’t yet found in the market? The muse is here and she is radiant. So talk to me. Let’s make some magic and blast into 2015 all hot and sparkly and fulfilled!

Contact me and tell me what you want me to create for you.

Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. It is a state of mind. =)

Multiple Joygasms

This is about the day I realized I had a messed up relationship with pleasure. And I am wondering if maybe you do too! It was spring and I was taking one of those magazine quizzes and the question said, “Fill in the blanks: Pleasure feels__________________.” To my surprise, (and horror) the first words that came to my mind were:

  • Bad.
  • Guilty.
  • Selfish.

WHAT!?!?! I was shocked. I honestly had no idea that I felt that way. It was quite a wake up call. I did some deep thinking and realized that this troubled relationship I had to pleasure was possibly affecting my sex life, my time with my friends, my self care and even my willingness to eat really quality food! For some reason feeling really good felt really wrong. I didn’t really want to dive into the psychology of my past to find out why so instead, I decided right then and there that my entire summer would be devoted to bliss. I made up my mind that everything I did would be in pursuit of or in support of multiple joygasms.

Joygasm- a solitary moment of pure bliss; a recognition of being in total flow; an absorption of love, peace, passion and happiness.

Multiple Joygasm- a commitment to ensuring that at least 75% of your life is filled with joygasms.

Happy

And I did it! I spent my summer sipping good wine, eating good food, sitting by the bonfire with friends, meditating, allowing for some unbridled passion, playing with my children, catching fireflies, living life. It was bliss. And I got addicted! That summer project turned into a life-long promise.

What is YOUR relationship to pleasure? When was your last joygasm? What can you do right now to start having multiple joygasms? What needs to come into your life? What needs to be released?
Pleasure is awesome. Feeling good is holy. Unapologetic self-care is sacred. GinaHussar.com

So go ahead. Get some. ;)

Do you suffer from this too?

This last week I had the pleasure of spending several days with people who are at the TOP of my industry: powerhouse millionaires like Lisa Sasevich, Rich German, Loral Langemeier, Noah St. John and Sean Roach. It was incredible.

But here’s the thing. I wasn’t sure I would be able to go to this meeting, so I booked it kind of last minute. Other people who came were ULTRA prepared to corner other experts, push for joint venture partnerships etc. They had binders, expensive 4-color sparkly folders and oddly shaped business cards all with the goal of standing out. I started feeling a little off. Squirming in my seat. My energy dropping a bit. And I realized I was coming down with the commonly diagnosed but never fun condition known as

COMPARISON-ITIS!

Have you ever suffered from that? Just a little dip in self confidence because you got distracted by what other people were doing?? It didn’t matter that my last program had over 500 sign ups and some of these other folks weren’t even in business yet. It didn’t matter that I was profitable in my first 90 days of business, or that I had co-authored a best selling book. I forgot those things simply because my business cards were the standard size and I had opted for the no-gloss finish. Silly isn’t it?! Thankfully I got over it and I remembered one thing:

I AM my business card.

Handshake

And so are you. Whether you have a business or not, every time you walk into a room, a conference, a party, a Starbucks, you are bringing with you a unique, divinely appointed set of incredible stories, talents and gifts.

You don’t need any bells and whistles. You don’t need anything at all. Because what you have to offer the world stands on its own two feet. It is your soul tapestry. Your character is your fingerprint. Your values and your talents are the unique, unmistakable watermark you leave on the world. And if you walk forward confidently, with faith in the person you’ve been lovingly shaped into, you cannot lose.

I realized, as I sat and chatted with people doing AMAZING and truly unique things, that we are all here with the same end goal in mind – to share, to support and to make an impact. I left there with brand new deep friendships, a plan for my next best-seller and a bunch of fiery entrepreneurs ready and willing to help make our Happiness School launch the best one yet. But I had to open up first. I had to step into my power, remember my gifts, and truly show up at each meeting with the intention to spread, absorb and cultivate LOVE! It works. Love yourself up. Stay in service. Hold your faith up high and watch the blessings roll!

Go forward and share your brilliance.
